No! if daath was strictly instrumental, maybe vocals do nothing for this progressive darknero techdeath etc, whatever ,, singers take away from squalid habitat riff insanity's cromatic octave dissplacements, hexognal octogon harmonies warp shape

Rock on! I love the intro from 0:00-0:12. Sounds like SNES music. :)

Heard this band for the first time on the liquid metal satellite radio in our rental car. Sounded pretty epic! \m/

inspiration, not imitation, is the key

I actually joined a band myself and I agree with your statement, however, to use other music as inspiration for your is key to knowing where to begin. Throwing down the same tunes as some other band though is just another way to be a pop culture faggot, so yeah, you spoke a lot of truth just now.

Daath is ridiculously underrated. This band kicks a whole lotta ass in my opinion.

@CobArchEnemy406 exactly! the minute i heard daath, i loved them. the new CD? still love them. if you like a sound then find a band who has a certain CDs sound but dont bitch about the new stuf. i'm trying to starta band actually, and its annoying to hear people say they "wanna sound like" i mean fuck your limiting yourself. sound how you want in your head and make it be! then you'll have all the other little kiddies runnning around as you for halloween and you can feel sincerely genuine

@Opsy3000 YOU! LISTEN TO BETTER MUSIC! Sure, Bloodbath are a great band, but not very heavy. Standard death metal.... and don't even get me started on Slipknot. Try listening to Back To The Worms by Cryptopsy, and if you still have brain matter left in your skull try making it through Asthmatic by Clinging To The Trees Of A Forest Fire without shitting yourself. I bet not a single Slipknot fan will succeed in keeping clean underwear through that song.

Normally I listen to mostly grind metal like Pig Destroyer, Krupskaya, Clinging To The Trees Of A Forest Fire, Brutal Truth, Mumakil, Kataplexis and Rotten Sound, so Daath is light listening for me, but they still wreck.
