ich will jetzt keine lange diskussion vom zaun brechen, aber das ist so auch nicht richtig. hip hop bezeichnet die gesamte kultur aus rap, djing, breakdancing und graffiti. die musik ist aus funk und soul entstanden. funk ist die mischung aus jazz und soul music, wobei soul selbst aus gospel/r&b entstanden ist. rockmusik begann in den 50ern, r&b schon ca 10 jahre früher. rock nutzt zwar auch elemente aus r&b, jazz und anderen stilen, hatte aber eine andere entwicklungsrichtung. :)

There were little metal bands at Rock am Ring in the 80s, but since the 90s there came bigger metal acts like Metallica, Rage Against The Machine etc.
