Like some abstract film noir, Jeremy Light visually interprets "Wheels Within Wheels" as an art book song. Bizarre shapes and fragmented light bounce around and take form only to dissolve again into flurries of chaos and order much like the music itself. Beauty and transcendence are considered some of Cynic's elemental qualities, and this video seems to explore that feeling with complete abandon and precision at once. Hats off to Jeremy!

Cynic have been slowly moving away from metal for some time. Death Growls are nice, but they aren't needed for a Cynic masterpiece. Thank god Paul stopped using the vocoder style of Traced in Air, that's my one complaint with that album. He uses it here, but it's much much better.11 years ago

Listen to bridge of Integral Birth(Weep No More part)and the chorus of Box up my Bones.Fantastic singing right there. Also,keep in mind that Paul uses the vocoder to better the overall sound and atmosphere of the song.It blends in perfectly without being too overpowered and not too subtle.11 years ago
