Been listening to this song for the last few months...and honestly, this has been one of those songs where you have to sit back and think, 'man, Uriah really did get fucked over.' It's sad when you think about his story in the bible and how he's literally seen as just a side character. He was literally killed because of another man's greed and covetousness. Guess you can say it's got me questioning my background with mainstream church more than I already have because to most churchgoers, Uriah is just a plot device for David's sins, but really what about Uriah?A man who literally would kill men's for his king, who's loyalty to David was unquestioning...what about the empathy and mourning for him?Great job Cise Starr, you sir are a fucking scholar.
