Cyndi Lauper won a Tony for her musical writing abilities for Kinky Boots on Broadway, not many rock and pop stars accomplished that, and theyre a few who tried but when I hear this incredible heartbreaking song Sally Pigeons, Cyndi has the shear heart to pen and record a song like this. Im so a fan for many reasons and I still think Sony/Epic made a HUGE frikking mistake by not standing by her through her career,..............well guess what, she didnt need them afterall, but Hat Full of Stars and Sisters of Avalon are some of Cyndis best written accomplishments. Even her son wonders why the hell happened in her career??? Can you say small minded, greedy corporate scumbags ???

When I first heard this song I was like about 7 or 8 and I cried my eyes out so much. I didn't understand what it meant but for some reason. I just cry and today I just actually found out what it means and even more touching. I love this song always will be one of my favorite songs.
