I love this song. I love Cyndi Lauper so much. She's amazing. Her singing voice is amazing very strong and very powerful. I wish I could sing like Cyndi she has the voice of an angel. I love this version of I Drove All Night it's the best version since Roy Orbison's version. Cyndi's and Roy's versions of I Drove All Night are amazing I love them both. Celine Dion's version to this song is alright. Love you always Cyndi hope you do more songs soon. I have all her albums.

Just thinking about this song - isn't it really goddamn creepy? I mean, just think of it from the perspective of the person it's being sung to.I'm sleeping happily in my bed then all of a sudden I'm woken up by another person when I think I'm alone. Thinking that my lover is halfway across the country, and not expecting anyone to be there, I would be absolutely terrified to be woken like that. this is lauper's "alternative-pop" version; orbison's is more just rock 'n roll, celine dion's is...i give up..whatever.lauper proves again that she has range and power and just flat-out can sing...and she has marvelous skin; really, like she's a porcelain doll. what a terrific artist.
