Curve - Cherry (the cherry ep 1991 - pubic fruit 1992)

Respire my desire

lean on me

fall on me

respond

and it will be

answered

answered

cos I am waiting

for the stars to change

so we will talk again

I'm impatient

for the sun to change

so we can meet again

He was well spoken

and unconnected

caught his tongue

it became infected

he could breathe

venom into the heart

of an issue

he could stare right at you

and never see you

he could crush faith

he could crush minds

he's a cynic

and he love's it

he believe in it

it's more than a man

could ever want

In his own image

in his being

like this leather glove

could be

could be

could be

I am waiting

for the sun to go down

I'm impatient

for the stars to change

You are the only person I have been able to find online who's actually posted the lyrics in their entirety. Fucking thank you.

curve is the only band I know, that can destroy the Universe in a climax inside a song, and then put it back together!

Curve did the same trick on the mighty "Unreadable Communication" off the fantastic "Cuckoo" album. THAT track sends shivers up my spine.

This song, to me, embodies one of the many peaks & valleys on the roller coaster of life: the first minute and a half represents a looong climb - in slow motion actually - up one of the bigger, more powerful rises.... and starting at about 1:34, the coaster is starting to crest.... then the drum fill... sending us on an emotional ride aboard a perfectly simple yet profound bassline and vaguely off-sync tribal rhythm - integrated with a raw, trance-inducing melodic distortion. This is for real.

I bought this cd back in college when it came out... never heard one Curve song before - I just thought the album cover was cool. Didn't care for any of the other songs, but this track is from another world. Simply amazing.
