I love the cover art for "Curtis". It makes him look like a giant bestriding the globe. Which, of course in a way, he was.

MAN, I didn't know Curtis Mayfield had SO many hit songs which later was to be sampled and copied by main stream musicians of their time.. Somehow NOTHING never beats the originals. The first original tune before it gets "deflowered" is always the best one!

Even if you took away the awesome music, and just put the lyrics to paper, it would still be wonderful poetry. RIP Brother Curtis

Mr. Curtis Mayfield forever Rest in Peace with the Glory of our Lord. He worked and lived as a visionary who came to us to deliver truth to all who listened to his music. May his truth continue to reach all throughout the world. I loved him then and I love him now! Thank you Curtis!!
