This is how it should be, this is why I make the journey from England to NYC as often as possible, the vibe and the music, not sure where this club is, Marcus Garvey institutions all over, but the big apple has this going on, what a band, Curtis Mayfield has been with me since I was a child, thanks for posting this, fabulous, respect to all concerned, especially the man himself, made me pick up the guitar and sing, very much missed. xxx

Well Tracy, you wont believe it but i listen to Mr. Mayfield's music every day...He taught me so much about life through his lyrics.I feel as if he is speaking directly to me..His black empowerment messages were not wasted either as he inspires me daily to chase my dream(no matter what)! RIP Mr. Curtis Mayfield, you are my hero and inspiration!

Why do you have to make a comparison between these artists at all? The music is changing,Curtis Mayfield is a great musician but he won't be back and even if he was alive I seriously doubt that his style would be the same as 20 years ago.
