Hate Boy George all you want. This song ROCKS. Also, it's clear he doesn't give a rat's buttocks about appearance. Who else would put Helen Terry, in her 'shocking' obesity (nevermind 35% of the US population is at least as fat), on stage way back then? not about image, it's about music. HELEN TERRY rocks her heart out. Awesome.That's when music was ALIVE and AUTHENTIC and IN YER FACE.When musicians weren't groveling for validation from judging panels.When music was in the hands of small studios and HUMAN disc jockeys.That system allowed for DIVERSITY and genuine rebellion to emerge.People used to be SO HAPPY with music. Used to be EVENTS these things.Now it's all posing, sampling, faking, marketing, imaging, and acceptance. BLECH.9 years ago
