the new guy in the band never has that much control. That's like a new kid in school convinces everyone to grow mohawks and shit? Impossible! Cryptopsy was always a shitty core band that made some cool songs because lord worm balanced out the core-ness with his blackmetal-ness. You wouldn't like his black metal either, his band is called 'rage nuclaire' now and its that really distorted forest kind of black metal. Not like Tsjuder.

cryptopsy was never a band that likes to play the music they made quite a few albums was, it was mostly because it was headed by lord worm who even said 'you would not find cryptopsy on my mp3 player', and he plays in a black metal band. The other members were the instrument players though, so eventually lord worm lost control and it naturally became the deathcore band it always was.

Not UFCNFLjunkie... but I'll agree that he fits Cryptopsy. This and the debut album would have to be the only performances of his that, IMO, work, though. His supposedly "best" performance on None So Vile (where I found him to be obnoxious and sloppy, as great as the album was otherwise) just makes me think of a bent fork among a row of straight ones... being unique doesn't necessarily make you good or useful.

@UFCNFLjunkie Have you heard anyone else do this with their voice at all? Thus people love him. No one else in the entire realm of metal sounds anything like him, while there are hundreds of death metal vocalists that sound like carbon copies. It fits Cryptopsy's sound.

@Maxpound Just because they have a more deathcore influenced singer on their new album doesn't mean the music has changed, it's still brutal, technical and faster than all the rest of the shitty deathcore bands out there. Yeah it's nothing like there other albums, and the singing sucks ass, but it still gets a lot of unnecessary disrespect.
