to 2xhonorrolestudent:I bet you're thinking of The Association. The original guitar player was Gary (Jules) Alexander who was replaced by Larry Ramos. Ramos had been in the New Christy Minstrels. Alexander, later came back to the group.

Sorry about your dad, what was his name? The only original members here are Tom 'Toad' Doody on lead vocals and Jim 'Hooke' Pilster, tambourine. There wasn't any Hawaiian guy in the group that first formed in Hinsdale, IL, '66 and were originally called The Travelers. If you'd like a contact, you can msg Thomas Doody (California) on FB.

If these guys are the original members, do you remember the very first guitar player before he was replaced by the Hawaian guy? He left for the air force and during that time, he heard you on the radio and thought someone stole your song. When the DJ announced the Cryan Shames, my dad yelled "The band made it!"
