I actually like Neil's Falsetto on this track. The fact that his falsetto is rough is actually what makes this song what it is. He is always in key in this track when doing his "Falsetto", which is more than you can say for most live bands. If you listen to Chris Martin's falsetto (from Coldplay) his falsetto is pure, but he is a terrible live singer and his falsetto always sounds really weak in a song live - just listen to "Fix You" live.

@HumansLib Did you purchace the album through iTunes? I did-just for the studio version of this. I think it turned out great. I'd love a really clean professionally recorded live version.

very well put and understandable, its good to hear an intellectual musical response from someone for once, I think its Neils melodies that always stand out to me for their sheer bliss, he also has a sense of simplicity lyrically too but when you look back at songs Say That Again, Driving me Mad etc.there's still very few to touch him. I think what annoys me is when there is lists made of songwriters and Chris Martin and Noel Gallagher are in it and Finn isn't it's quite hard to understand.

oh yeah im not denyin that he isn't and all the songs you've stated are super songs, i think there's quite a mountain been made here lol, i dont think Neil Finn gets anywhere near the credit he deserves is the point im more or less making, perhaps if he was british and dead there would be a bigger fuss.

i dunno i guess its a matter of opinion but i believe Neil has just went from strength to strength, and takes me to places no artist has ever has (although the Editors are makin thier way up that ladder), Lyrically even from early days Neil has been Poetic and Soulful, Lennon perhaps when in partnership with mcCartney but i never liked either of them on their own, but then again thats my opinion i always was a stones man myself.

every time i play this after not hearing it in ages and BOOM!! it continues to blow me away. piano work and chord progression is fantastic. there is so many great tunes knocking about youtube. this new album will be Epic. Neil is the Greatest musician of all. No contest. Lennon who?
