My brother bought this LP for me for Christmas when it came out. I bought the CD today. Sure was great to hear it again. It's a great album. Neil's voice blends with the music perfectly. Good job by Nigel Olson on the drums.

..just a thought Andrew, how about 'Baby Blue' from this LP ? Don't think Neil ever released it as a single in the UK - but he should have done.

That's right Joe, Sedaka released two studio albums for Elton's label, they were released on Polydor in this country , they were " The Hungry Years" ( Overnight success) and " Steppin' Out" .

The 'Rocket' label - wasn't that something to do with Elton John..? I know Sedaka recorded a few tracks with him - 'Bad Blood' and 'Steppin' Out' for instance.

Hi Joe, Its a great album, my copy is the american issue of "Overnight success" called " The Hungry Years" on the Rocket record label.

Sedaka could do no wrong for me - great track from his 'Overnight Success' LP Andrew. This is obviously not on the UK Polydor label...?
