I was waiting for the 07.45 train at Lesce-Bled, north-west Slovenia, yesterday morning, and the train was late. The station buffet was broadcasting a local AM radio station and bang on when the train was due to depart, they played White Room. Half a century after they recorded the song in London-US, when Slovenia was part of Yugoslavia and Tito ruled with an iron hand - this song gets played. IMO one of the top ten ever best rock songs. Some Slovene radio stations obviously have good taste in music. Where the shados run from themselves. Not sure what Slovenes, Americans or even modenr Brits make of "platform tickets" though - heh heh. Perhaps Felix Pap thought it was some cryptic reference to the drug culture :)

Anyone who appreciates this cut should check the entire video of the Cream farewell performance from Sir Albert Royal Hall (I believe sometime in 1968?) available here on YouTube. Four or five great cuts then 15r minutes of interviews (five each with in order Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, Eric Clapton). For my money, (and I'm no slouch) some of the best instructional video available to teach bass, drums, guitar. I'm just saying . . .
