Strange Brew has always been a favorite of mine so I thought I'd give it a go. Sorry for the slightly low camera angle.

Gear for this video:

Guitar: Ibanez AS73

Amp: Fender Blues Jr.

Pedal: Ibanez TS9

This is all mic'd with a Shure SM57 running into a small mixing board. The audio then runs from this board directly into the camera.

I don't think the original was played through a marshall, i think it was played through a clean amp with a fuzz box(dallas arbiter or vox). Pictures from the recording session shows marshall stacks but also a twin reverb

Did Clapton play the accompaniment simultaneously with the lead, or was it just a backing track?

Too many notes crammed in there. The magnificence of the Cream version was it's minimalism. The space between the notes adding to the notes and making them stand out.

Salutes from Brazil, man! You really get the skill!Great cover! Do you put some feelling in your interpretation, and this is rare in these days. I have the same guitar, it's a very good instrument!

Great work man as a personal take on the song. One thing to consider was the economy of notes on the original. Both Eric and Albert King ( who EC borrowed these licks from) understood that the gaps and notes you don't include are almost as important as those you do. Personally I think this is the difference between great players like Gary Moore and SRV, and legends like Buddy Guy, BB Albert and EC.... Do more with fewer notes and runs.  Thanks for uploading - enjoyed it.

Hey great cover man, loved it! Do you mind if I use it as an instrumental for my singing cover?
