I just compared this to Steve Gadd's original version. The freakish thing is: Senri's version trumps the original! There's just no denying it.

If you don't read drum music notation this is a bit remote for you but Senri here applies the best of classic rudiments to prove she's not just a kid with sticks. She displays clean, crisp rolls in various numbers, (5, 7, 9 stroke etc.) and is subtle with stick pressure. She also proved to me this evening that the modern stick holding method (like holding mallets) has merit and is worthy of practice. It's odd to me but she proves it works. そうそう、そもそも音楽って、テクニックとかを比べるものじゃない。だって、別の人であれば、演奏も違うのは当然なのだし。どっちが上手とかって、個人的な解釈にしか過ぎない気がします。美味い下手じゃなくて、感じ方です。ボクは、千里ちゃんのドラミングに痺れました。もちろん、ガッドも素晴らしいです。どちらも、素晴らしい。何より、千里ちゃんのチャレンジ精神に感服してしまうのです。未知なる可能性を示す勇気に感服です。ただ、それだけで、いいじゃないですか。

i know to compare one artist with another is not always the best thing to do but.... i had to find and watch the original by steve gadd, this is a steve gadd cover after all. i wanted to confirm senri is as good as i think she is , did i do that after watching steve gadd ?? ??? ok i will answer my question ------ yes without doubt senri is as good as i think she is ---------------- my favourite drummer by a mile
