Had to buy this when I saw it a few years back. An Indian release on Stateside. This has got to be the heaviest, thickest 45 I have ever owned. It also has a barely noticeable marbled effect in the vinyl, a mix of black and dark grey. Maybe made from recycled 45s? Or maybe the marbled effect was intentional? Any info much appreciated. Thanks TheMonobaby :-)

What a song pure soul would love to have produced this with little Anthony and the imperials singing . Craig Douglas does this justice. wonderful

Wow, Craig D bringing his sound right up to date in 1970! An insane choice putting him on the $tateside label (India), since $tateside artists were actually from the States, their record companies licencing out their recordings to EMI! It's got a Pye catalogue number, though

Quite possibly the best 45 ever recorded. Jaw-dropping arrangements. Only got the SPOKE re-issue, but have already played it to death.

Great track! Vinyl contains an agent to make it black. Sometimes if there isn't enough, it results in the effect you are seeing.

have seen a few Indian 45s with that marbling effect - I think you're right... recycled/contaminated vinyl. Have recently found out there's a Portugese pic sleeve of this brilliant track too!

A superb beat ballad. So good we've reissued it on limited 7"!
