I agree that it doesn't sound specifically The Smiths, but more a combination of various bands of the '80s, but I disagree that this is New Romantics. New Romantics is Duran Duran, A Flock of Seagulls, Spandau Ballet, Soft Cell, Ultravox and this it not it. This sounds a little more alternative, more on the side of New Order, The Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen, and yes, a touch of The Smiths.
