Spectral Stranger

The idea that COF went in the wrong direction with their music is very relative. (Although allegedly even they expressed dissatisfaction with Thornography.) However Nymphetamine was a great album, and Damnation and a Day is a personal favorite of mine for its particular primeval melodies and Paradife Loft theme. COF is still probably one of the most musical black metal bands out there. Many argue that COF isn't black metal because they say they're overproduced and they are not "kvlt", but no genre of music should dictate so strictly. COF certainly does deviate from traditional black metal in the sense of their gothic over tones. What I found ironic is that the only original members in the band are Dani and Paul (vocalist and lead guitarist), which is very similar to Dimmu's situation.

Ah Cradle of Filth In my opinion the "Metallica" of black metal just as Metallica was an 80s thrash metal band with there prime ending at the end of 1991 with fucked new style and worn out voice cradles best stuff was in the 90s I call them a 90s band with there prime ending at the end of 2001 and for some reason changing there style same as Metallica in the wrong direction ending as a has been band with a broken voice because of to many live shows and playing the same set list of songs same as Metallica in almost every show history repeats itself even in metal it seems to me. both bands also have a passed band member Cliff Burton (Bass) and Bryan Hipp (guitar) for COF
