"Nostalgia" was released in the summer of 1993 on Cracker's second album, Kerosene Hat. This was an amazing record, one of my absolute favorites of the decade. It was full of some really fine crunchy guitar rock, most well-known are the singles "Low" and "Get Off This", but there are so many other really great tunes on the record. As much as I loved "Low" and "Get Off This", I am even more fond of some of the lesser known tracks....."Nostalgia" is probably my all time favorite Cracker tune, but "Take Me Down To The Infirmary" is pretty close...also "Sick Of Goodbyes", "Kerosene Hat", and "Sweet Potato" are all fantastic tracks. I'd love to work up another vid for one of these, maybe after I finish the other Cracker tune ("Sunday Train") that I've been fooling around with for ages?

The video was really fun, one of those where I just threw everything in and stirred madly....just various images, masks and color manipulations and one tiny video loop of the flashing stars. Looking at it after uploading, it could have benefited by a little more time and variety of key-frame motion, but I guess it gets the job done?.......stay tuned for my upcoming Camper Van Beethoven tune and the next Cracker vid!

Two day after my sons birthday he used to fall asleep on my shoulder when he was just a little dude as we would be listening to this together I named him Wolfgang Ignatius and he's only 8 still! :) !! :) !!! :) My daughter she is in the Air Force I Am So Proud Of Dorian Grace! :) !! :) !!! :) Born in Houston Texas you know what they say Don't Mess With Texas (A Native American Word For Friend). Yes i had and yes it's really beautiful there ;-) my conclusion about Craker, is that i definitely love "kerosene hat", love the guitar on "take me down to the infirmary", love "sick of goodbye", "Lonesome johnny blues", "another song about the rain", "movie star", "loser" and of course "Nostalgia", about Camper : "Come on darkness","that gum you like is back in style" "seven languages" and "the fool", they're all new for me thanks ;-)

I'm hoping you had a wonderful ski trip!!! Wish I was in your area, which must offer some amazing skiing! :-) Happy you found Cracker.....a really great band....also check out Camper Van Beethoven if you haven't yet (working on a vid for one of their tunes as well). Let me know what you think about any of the other things you listen to...very interested in your opinion. I'm sure you're familiar with the hits "Get Off This" and "Low". Thanks for checking it out and for the honest comment....appreciate your opinion. I'm not a big fan of videos that an endless stream of images, as I find them (though some are very nice of course) out of sync with the song (IMHO of course). My style is to attempt to create a video that connects with the groove of the song....songs of course have structure including repeated lyric phrases, instrumental passages, etc...so I limit images. That being said, yeah, I agree with you 100% on this one!
