From the 1980 album "White Music". Crack The Sky is an east-coast band, particularly popular in the Baltimore region.

Lyrics:

Disco roller frisbee punk rockers

We can be just like you

It's a changing world

Everything changes

Seasons and everything changes just like you

It's a strangeling world

All the little baby strangers

Everyone trying to be a little bit stranger than you

We're the Techni Generation

Disco roller frisbee punk rockers

We can be just like you

It's an A.M. world

I am you am we A.M.

No one cares about frequency modulation anymore

We're the Techni Generation

We're so technical

We can be just like any other generation

We can be just like you

We're the Techni Generation

Disco roller frisbee punk rockers

We can be just like you

I remember sneaking into the show at the Silo in Reading, Pa. because I had no money.. I climbed in through the bands dressing room window in the basement. They could not believe that I wanted to see then so bad, and they were cool enough to let me hang back stage with them for the next few shows. Vinny was my favorite, he called me the little punk rocker...LOL! Great Times !

They never went Big time because Palumbo was an ASSHOLE!! He ran his mouth to everybody even the Groups they opened for.

I have all the albums. Strange to say that. They were such a good band and I don't understand why they never made it.

I read somewhere that when they put this album together it was really only Palumbo and Witkowsky and they decided that this album would be a new band called "The Marines" but Lifetouch their record label at the time said they would only put the album out under the name Crack The Sky. It's amazing how different this sounds from the original bands first outings. This is all about skinny leather ties, my Sharona, the Cars new wave bop a de bop 80's pop!

Well put. Awesome band ! I grew up in MD and saw them many times. They only got better over the years.

This entire album was lightening in a bottle. Palumbo's songwriting hit a really rich vein of power pop, Rick Witkowski's guitar was unmatchable, Victor Giordano's engineering was brilliant, and Palumbo's quirky vocal styllings didn't put people off. CTS made a classic 80's album here, that was all-but-impossible to find until the advent of cd's almost 10 years later. Great stuff.

I remember seeing their album at Chicks records in Balto....a little off the wall record store in our neighborhood....and not knowing who they were, then all of a sudden i knew just about every song they had out at the time....they should have made it big...kind of reminds me of Kix...still see them now locally.

It had nothing to do w/ 'Management'. Polumbo had a massive ego (he thought that he was Mozart) and everyone hated him. And because of it, people couldn't wait for him to fall on his arse. And, he did.

Don't know why these guys never hit it huge. There should have been three hit singles from this LP alone.
