Our FM station DC 101 sponsored a concert for these guys at Warner theater in Washing D.C. Free Tickets the first 101 through the door. there was as much partying outside as inside with DC 101 who were on sight. all kind of freebies. it was a great show and a great party

Great tune great band! They never really caught on in the 70s. I had the Animal notes album. I appreciate it more now than I did then.

@db8367 By a crazy twist of fate, most of the debut albums ended up in Baltimore. It received air play there and was a huge hit. Many folks believe Crack The Sky originated in B-more, however, it was formed in West Virginia.. Not that of it matters...their music will always rock!!! I still remember nickel beer night at the Gull. The beer covered floors, fights, burners and partys after closing. You don't have to go home folks..YOU JUST CAN'T STAY HERE. Remember me?

@db8367 Wow. The seagull inn. I loved seeing bands at that place. I would use the dancer catwalks to take pics from. Anything went in that place. Than a six pack from behind the bar for the road. Man I miss that place and those days. Check out out Capital ctr facebook page. Friends-of-THE-CAPITAL-CENTRE

The lyrics are reminiscent of "Walk On The Wild side" by Lou Reed. You could be right because "The Block" in Baltimore is a place that any fetish could be satisfied back in the day! Those were the days!

Crack the sky is great. Story is this song is about a dancer on the block in Baltimore. Reminds me of the old Seagull Inn days!
