People relate this to Tim Treadwell, and it's great, but i thik this music transcends him and reveres every adventurer who runs from our meaningless society. When i listen to this i think of Crhis McCandless.

This always seems to happen to me with country music. Just when I have given up on it much like rap and hip hop I will hear a song like this that makes me realize in every genre of music there are real genuine musicians who just make great music because they are gifted and talented. Thank you Truly Great Musicians. Whoo Yip Whoo Yip Whoo.

Not sure I get too much from Treadwell. I don't really see him as a noteworthy character for any meaningful reasons. He ultimately strikes me mostly as narcissistic, immature and absolutely desperate for attention. He really did nothing to help the bears, and any "connection" he purportedly developed with them existed only in his childishly naive mind. For the most part the bears appeared to have simply ignored him until one day by chance one decided to predate upon him - but hey that's just what they do. Nothing against the guy personally, he seemed harmless enough despite his many silly vociferous rants. I suppose you could even call him affable and engaging at a certain level. However, we all need to live in the real world (as ugly as it may be at times). Trying to escape into a fantasy world of your own mind's fabrication rather than facing the hard realities of life can come at really big price. I hope he thinks his venture into never never land was worth it.

Ive been fly fishing at a river deep in western Maryland since I could walk. Hardly ever fished, practically to myself, but a great population of trout, Eagles, Cougars, bears, and I could go on looking into those mountains with their bright colored leaves in the fall. Leaving with my dad after a long and tiring day of fishing. Memories of taking my kids there. Two weeks ago, I came to find it was completely deforested with stores installed. Such a shame how we take things for granted. Never will there ever be a trout stream like this little creek.
