This is so bad ass! As much as I love doom metal bands like Electric Wizard and Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats they all are all trying to be Coven. They were the first band that used any themes of occultism in their music and people though the "god fathers of heavy metal" Black Sabbath were just British rip offs of this band. Amazing!

This is FAR from being the first music video. Music "videos" were made as far back as the 1950s to promote songs. They were on film just as this one was. Ignorance and stupidity abounds on Youtube.

"One Tin Soldier" makes me depressed and makes me sick at the same time- making Jinx sing a song that was not worthy of her at all and it already had been a hit. However, Coven got to make the Blood On The Snow record and this is a mightily great record. I love Jinx- she had a great range and was integral in fact essential to the group. Without her there wouldn't have been Coven. Thanks Coven and thanks Jinx- you make me feel the power of music.

To hell with 'One TIn Soldier' -- if Coven had thought to cover a Paul Williams song from "Phantom of the Paradise" circa 1975 they would've REALLY burned up the charts! (Which would've literally made them the "anti-Carpenters" if you get my drift...) - 1b2sBTW: I have the Witchcraft album on 8-track. Can anyone verify that it is the ONLY 8-track tape to ever contain a Black Mass? (And by "black mass" I'm not counting the oily blob of goo that results when the foam thing that holds the tape against the player head gets old and starts to disintegrate...)
