I remember seeing this at the time she released it (amongst the anticipation of her album which still didn't materialise for months after) and I didn't think much, thought she looked rough etc etc, but I've never forgotten these performances this night at the Roxy. Now after having the album on my shelf (not played much - too neat for me)... I find if I want to hear these songs, I come back here. You left your heart on the stage this night Courtney. Really wanted to thank u 4 ur email this morn-lol im usually still up!- Love 2directMsg, but what the hell, seein as Im quite the "eye-roller" on her behalf as well, n most people may not dig my thoughts, but theyre mine- n they dont have to read em! 2me its worse than just sexism, its pure misplaced hatred, jealousy of true talent n perserverence,the need 2 blame someone-which merely empoweres them/her,making the "blamers" prove their own ignorance quite beautifully;-)! Thanks! its good to see so many people do appreciate Courtney. She's incredible, and it is sooooooooo upsetting to see her slammed for doing something that people don't think twice about when a man does. And people role their eyes when I stick up for Courtney, people don't roll their eyes when someone says they are a fan of Keith Richards. To me its just a huge example of sexism and that makes it all the more upsetting that people our so oblivious to how prevalent that is in our society.
