This is still one of the best performances of this song (one of my favorite songs, from any band). I love the raw feel of the song; now the newer versions are seriously amazing - but this is just (in my opinion) breath taking. Wish I had known about them/appreciated; the caliber of their music, when I was younger. Glad I have an appreciation for Counting Crows now.

My god that sounds horrendous live. It's like he is strangling a cat. That must have taken a studio tech a year to et to sound decent. Pitchy, and out of rhythm. Fucking all over the place. They should change their name to slash your wrist because you would if you heard them live.
