I took this whole band to dinner in Paris at the "Pieds de Cochon" after their second concert at the Salle Pleyel (I couldn't afford to eat for the next month). These Basie people have been my Gods for over 60 years. Booty came from another galaxy. I did shake hands with Booty, became friends with Eddie Jones and Marshal Royal, eating in my house when they came to Paris. Booty in Montreux with Basie, Ella, Eric Dixon - Nirvana. Love communicating with the daughter of Booty Wood
