Wow...This one takes me back to my wild and crazy days in the 70's... Some things never change..I had this one and Viva Terlingua...Reunion was another favorite...

+UncleDon8 If that's the same club I'm thinking of it was in Roslyn, and was called "My Father's Place". They used to have the absolute best bands that most people never even heard of. Couldn't find a better venue to listen to a band. We must have seen the "Wheel" there at least 10x or more.

mark, that song was "won't you give me one more chance, to make it with you" not real sure of the actual title of the song, but, it sure was a good'un. this album is one of my alltime favorite albums, why it was never on cd, i'll never know, this was the best

Great song takes me back to some very painful times in my life. I felt like I was living this song back then. I actually have this on vinyl. I'll just have to pull it out and listen to the whole album. Thanks for the post.

Thanks for this Glenn as like you I've been searching for this since my vinyl disappeared. It will complement A Man Must Carry On (double album) and Riding High. The other high point of this album driven by a harmonica and its refrain (as can't remember the title) is "won't you"?

This isn't just a love song -- it's about family too.

One of Jerry Jeff Walker's most perfect songs. I've been searching for this forever. The album is now out of print, sadly. I used to have this on cassette if I remember right. It's the song you listen to when the girl leaves.

Do you remember the boots from contrary to ordinary album?

i own this album. i've had to trim down my collection thru the years - due to being entirely too contrary to ordinary & needing to just get off of this LA freeway... - but my JJW albums I could never let go of. thanks for posting!!
