We never implied it was "Heavy Metal friendly", just that compared to for example French or even better Italian, German seems to have a rather harsh and hard sound to it. But also other "Germanic" languages like the Scandinavian branches usually have a more flowing and, dare I say, melodic character than what the usual German sound provides.

Of course there are words that have plosive sounds, it doesn't mean that the language is "reeking" with hard violent 'heavy-metal-friendly' sounds, like you guys want to imply. German IS NOT the 'heavy language by definition' at all. It's one thing to claim the subjective view of non-natural german speakers that are learning, it's a whole different level to analize the language as a whole from that point of view

Sure does. This however is based on an actual historic event as described in the opening sequence of the video.

Words like "Pastete", "Krach", "Prozedere" and "Kampfansage" have very explosive consonants, just to name a few that randomly came to my mind. Of course being an old sophisticated language means having very different layers of character, but people usually make the connection to the "harsh" and "aggressive" sounding vocabulary which features these explosive consonants. This is all based on my personal experience and impression when talking to people that are not native german speakers.

where, in german, do you hear "a lot of explosive consonants"???? it sounds soft and swift, just like the most refined languages of the world, because of its age, it got so sophisticated, as to have 25-letter words, combining other words into one. that's why it is so "poetical", unlike other languages. I just don't see your "explosive" point

As a matter of fact, German is a comparably "strict" and "strong" language considering it uses quite an amount of "explosive" consonants and its vocabulary features some very intense-sounding words. It may be on account of that, that people dislike it. Also it may be due to the negative German stereotype that some people associate a dislike with it. However I agree that German is a great language. It is (was?) not called "Language of poets" for nothing ;)
