Cornershop are a British indie band formed in Leicester in 1991 by Wolverhampton-born Tjinder Singh (singer, songwriter, and dholak player), his brother Avtar Singh (bass guitar, vocals), David Chambers (drums) and Ben Ayres (guitar, keyboards, and tamboura)

Their music is a fusion of Indian music, British indie rock, and electronic dance.

They were more widely noticed after the success of a Fatboy Slim remix of their song "Brimful of Asha", from their 1997 third album When I Was Born for the 7th Time.[3] The song was a tribute to the prolific Indian playback singer, Asha Bhosle, and the entire Indian music industry in general. Norman Cook mixed the track without charging a fee because he liked it so much.[3] Paula Frazer appears as a guest vocalist on the track "Good To Be On The Road Back Home".

In 2000, Q magazine placed When I Was Born for the 7th Time at number 68 in its list of the 100 Greatest British Albums Ever.

From *When I Was Born For The 7th Time* and featuring Paula Frazer, it's the eclectic and slightly odd Cornershop with *Good To Be On The Road Back Home Again*

wmg sucks! what're they scared of? somebody might hear a song for free? their bands might figure out that they can market themselves on youtube? i don't understand why they'd want to limit ppls access to "their artists" cornershop sells albums still and gets radio play, but bands like throwing muses don't, and when warner prevents fans from sharing their music, warner is preventing them from reaching their audiences. WMG SUCKS!
