I think what makes this cover perfect for a bluegrass version is the vocals...There's no attempt at the high lonesome sound in the vocals...The vocals have a sense of sadness and resignation which makes it perfect...The playing is great on this.. I have been hoping that someone would want to do a bluegrass cover of this song..and it's as close as one could get...Wonderful job...

Where is the Cowbell !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I think you can mix cowbell in a Bluegrass cover. The song itself is good but without Cowbell is sacrilege!

It's kind of sad that the only memory anybody associates with this song is the SNL skit where Christopher Walken played Bruce Dickinson (lead singer of Iron Maiden for those of you who were born yesterday). Albeit it's pretty funny, it's dead. It's old and it died of natural causes. The last straw was when Walken was geared up for the Sleepy Hollow movie and the words "Gotta Have More Cowbell!" were pasted into the picture. Everything after that was just the death throws of the joke.

Nice sound but it is inescapable after that classic SNL skit it is impossible to hear this tune without listening for that freakin' cowbell and longing to hear it. I guess I caught the fever and the only cure is that bleedin' bell.
