@x0rify Whatever you can play on the acoustic guitar, you can play on the electric guitar and vice versa. The only difference as neuroxik mentioned is that the electric guitar requires string muting as to avoid feedback. I started out on the electric guitar.

@x0rify I do hope you're not serious. You don't need to "learn to play electric guitar" if you play acoustic. It's not like stepping up in the talent chain. Yeah, you've got some bits and pieces to adjust, like muting your strings to avoid feedback, etc, but it's basically the same shit as far as "learning" goes.
