An amazing song by the band Copeland from the album Beneath Medicine Tree. If you've never heard of them then you should definitely listen to some of their songs.

Lyrics:

I remember when I'd run to you

In field of white flowers

Your embrace is my air

How I needed you there

And all of the world and

All of it's powers

Couldn't keep your love from me

[chorus]

Cause I need you

Like the dragonflies' wings need the wind

Like the orphan needs home once again

Like heaven needs more to come in

I need you here like you've always been

Then I waved goodbye to you

From a field of white flowers

You were so proud of me

I was too proud to see that

All of the world and

All of it's power

Couldn't keep your love from me

[repeat chorus]

Taking for granted

And all of her smiles

Could not be reminded

You got away

And now I'm looking up to you

From a field of white flowers

You were so proud of me

I'm so proud of you

All of the world and

All of it's power

Couldn't keep your love from me

[repeat chorus to end]

Copeland is not morbid in any way. If you mean the songs carry emotional weight, then yes. A hard thing to find out there today.

I understand :) I understand what you mean by the morbid vibe, specially on this album, but that was the point; it was about the illness of loved ones. But you gotta keep on living! I think the last half of the album is more spiritual (uplifting? or more therapeutic to calm you after being so close to death for so long) which in turn "increases your chances of living" :P
