Many people get stuck in their youth when it comes to music. The first rap I liked enough to buy was Snoop Dog Doggy Style, Dr Dre The Chronic, Eazy E Eazy Duz It, Too Short Cocktails, Ice Cube Amerikas Most Wanted, Warren G Regulate GFE to name a few. I listen to a lot of current stuff, while I feel nostalgic listening to old stuff occasionally most of the more current rap I listen to I would rank above my old school favorites. There is lots of shit rap, but that's always been the case.

Lil Wayne sucks. I won't like him in 20 years. I'm a metal head. Gave up on rap during the mid-90's after 2 Pac died. I developed a real taste in music. Today's rap has gone soft, wussified and radio friendly.

Are you saying Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne and One Direction is better than 90's rap?

Man... back when popular rappers actually rapped rather than just lethargically mumbling. This song is gonna be 20 years old in 2014, just so you kids firmly planted in gen Y can feel old too.
