I never was fortunate enough to see Conway in concert. He was my Mom's favorite singer, and she saw him 3 times in concert, between '78-'82. I have to admit that I have always enjoyed the songs he did prior to 1980, more than the latter years before his death. I guess it's because those Country songs of the '60s & '70s were what I was raised on.

A #1 hit for Conway Twitty on the Country & Western charts. It was the 379th #1 C&W song of the Rock Era. It also hit #1 on the Canadian C&W charts.

conway., you had a story to tell not in a book but in songs you sang. i wish all music was country, because there is a story there.modern music was like this at one time i lived through the 60s. songs then had meaning and you could have understood what the hell it was about.but .,..now....it seems the worlds gone mad..sad.. not me ..the young of today are being led into a music world of senseless sounds of spiritual dance themes
