Convulse was a Death Metal/Death 'n' Roll band from Nokia,Finland. They were formed in 1988. They recorded their first demo "Resuscitation of Evilness" (Which is one of the best finnish DM demos of all time) in 1990. They were signed to Thrash Records and they released their legendary "World Without God" in 1992. The record was full of evil and cold atmosphere and must for true scandinavian Death Metal fan. Nowadays very hard to get,it is a true collector's item. After leaving Thrash Records they were signed to Relapse. They recorded their second album "Reflections" (Great album too) which was more Death 'n' Roll style than the bands first recordings. If you like Xysma's "Yeah" and Entombed's "Wolverine Blues" you'll like "Reflections". They split up after the second album. They had a side-project called Puhelinkoppi (Phone Booth) which was punk. Convulse started out as S.D.S. playing Speed Metal.
Rami Jämsä plays in When the Empire Falls nowadays.
This is from "Resuscitation of Evilness".
Cheers!
