its called a loop pedal, everything he played was live, he sampled and looped that bit at the end WHILE he was playing it not BEFORE. sampling and looping are 2 very different things. this is Converge after all and not Ashley Simpson

cuz he has to change the tuning for the next song..so on his line 6 delay pedal..he sampled it and let it repete so he can tune.
