The story of this album, not released by MGM but Mati-Mor as a promotion for Brylcream men's hair cream (greasy kid stuff).

Here from a 1961 TV special are a couple of commercial bits for it.

Plus two full songs:

The Band Played On (@2:54)

Tavern In The Town (@5:21)

They used public domain songs to avoid royalty fees.

My copy is apparently a Canadian release promoted by Silvikrin women's shampoo. It has English and French text.

I assume Connie does not have the copyright for this album.

As a trivia note, Al Caiola in 1963 released an album titled Greasy Kid Stuff.

The feeling in the business was Connie's dad would take any opportunity to make a buck with her. But this album indeed proved a big success and represented a nice surprise for the fans.
