@grimmenigma949 i dont care, they both suck. and i dont really enjoy adm either. im rather specific about my music...i like it to require skill, grace, eloquence, the whole nine yards. hence, my love for prog. and besides, im not really a "metalhead" at all. i find a certain genre (or element thereof) and listen to it. and yes, i hate thrash.

@grimmenigma949 its easy....ive heard thrash and i dont like it. why does it matter if ive heard every artist in the genre? i dont like hiphop either and i havent heard every artist there either. I dont like the general style. sue me for having an opinion. and i have heard of sylosis....music's good, singer needs work.

@MaximumPayne12 If you're going to profess about metal, please learn the genres first. Black metal is a broad genre, and some of the most beautiful music is found in it. Death and black metal are not interchangeable just because you think they are both "noisy and ugly". They are different musically, lyrically, and conceptually. Communic is really not thrash at all. They are closer to power metal. And how is Master of Puppets "soft thrash"? It's a thrash song with a non-thrash interlude.

alright i can get that i guess... truth be told i loveee death metal and most newer black metal, but ive always considered thrash to be on the less on the technical/skillful side and more on the beat the hell out of my instrument side haha. but either way, i do like prog ive just never once heard of thrash described this way. certainly never associated with prog. not sayin youre wrong, but like i said, ive been around awhile and youre the first. congrats lol

Its just that maybe you are confusing Thrash with Death or Black Metal which is the noisy and ugly kind of Metal that i don't like either. However, Thrash genre does have a kinda annoying part, the heavier one. But combined along with progressive style, we got music like Communic. If you listen, you will notice heavy and aggresive voice and riffs, but not as much. Also, the "softer" part of the Thrash genre is cool, for example, many songs from Metallica (lets say Master of puppets) is Thrash

as do i... alright, lets both cut the jabs and talk civilly if you dont mind. i, being a musician myself and around the music "scene" a few years longer than 12, also have some clue as to what im talking about. however...i havent heard much of communic to be perfectly honest. i posted the album on request, but never got into them much myself. the songs i have heard tho dont sound thrash at alllllll. but again, i may be bias; i hate thrash music, but i do enjoy what ive heard of communic.

Oh my goodness dude!... look im not gonna offend you nor talk shit. But serious, i see you are even more ignorant than I expected =\ I've been into Metal music for about 12 years and believe me I do know what I'm talking about, don't you try to teach me what is prog and what is thrash ;) Search around and learn more about metal genres please. And Communic genre truly is in most parts Progressive-Thrash, and a few of power metal.

thrash progressive? have you ever head them? you want thrash prog, look up blotted science. thats the closest i know of to that contradictory genre. you do know prog is about musicianship and thrash is just a contest to see who can bang the instrument fastest, right? id love to see the wonderful musicians in communic waste their time with that... communic falls into a similar category to DT, straight up prog metal. same vocal style and everything, just more flairs and draws.

no ive actually never even heard of them... i'll look em up and nightwish is good now, their last singer (tarja) was just too opera for me, the new chick annette is way better. shes only on Dark Passion Play though

hell yeah. then you must like seventh wonder then? they are one of my fav along with kamelot. never really got into nightwish although i do own all of the albums haha. Early dream is bad ass.
