just a guess.the person is beaten up and hurt. He wants to sleep it off "for days" because he's afraid to die, but is discouraged by failure, He "buries that heart"... and in resignation, dreams of a better world where he won't fail anyone, and nobody will fail him. The scene with the collapsing room is the person "waking up" as he wrestles with trusting in "what you want" instead of "what I want" even if it "isn't what I want" When he wakes up, he finds relief that he's accepted by God anyway.
