The "problem" with Plants is that it followed Songs to the Key. The latter was so phenomenal, so outstanding, just so, that we weren't done listening to it when Plants was released. I remember a friend of mine had it and I just looked at her like she was crazy! #sorrystevie #youthfulignorgance

THAT album should've went TRIPLE platinum,if quality, thoughtful music was the bar in the largely"political"music industry!! If you're interested in"pretty"songs,check-out"Shadow"with its' PROFOUND line about the change of seasons from Summer, all the way back to Spring:"Green"turns red;falls to the ground;water and ice"KISS"and snow's ALL around...Rainclouds"cry"down to the Earth;then everything on the Earth gives "birth"!!" You know my"story"and love me ANYway." This song is a jewel!!

Yo,I JUST came from her version of this, where all the posts told me hers was actually a remake of THIS one!! I'd NO idea, and her version has been my FAVORITE song since 2009!! That same album has the MOST romantic line I'd ever heard("All my days")opening with:"BURY me up to my NECK in your love." What a sweet way to say:"Baby,I want you to give me ALL the affection you could POSSIBLY give!! I LOVE that line, especially since I'd played it 3 DOZEN times before I"heard"what she was actually said!!

I don't mean to be rude, but I was reading your comments. I was 19 when this beautiful album came out and thinking back on it all I started getting into really good music at the age of twelve also. My oldest sister listened to a lot of jazz and it just set me off. I am truly thankful to her for that. We came up listening to some good music beloved. Check out Esperanza Spalding and Li Anne La Havas. It is all coming back.

To say Stevie & Syreeta created beautiful music together is completely redundant......one would only need to use this tune as "Exhibit A" . Stevie Wonder is, quite simply, the absolute GREATEST songwriter/entertainer of my generation, and I've been on this Earth for 56 years. His music has always possessed a hypnotic, mesmerizing beauty & lyrical potency that has been completely inspiring to myself and everyone fortunate to hear it. On this tune, Stevie & Syreeta created "Magic".

@SaXlessTillNow ~This reminded me of Minnie Riperton when I first saw the title. I knew Stevie loved her high voice. Also Minnie Riperton used to wear flowers and Babies' Breath in her hair all the time. I also think she died in 1979.

Has anyone heard Yahzarah's cover of this song? It's just as good!! Listen to it on her new album "The Ballad of Purple Saint James".
