This #1 hit is truly an inspirational video about a wheel chair-bound boy that wont let anyone steal his dreams.

What others have to say about Quitters:

Call me sappy or cheesy or whatever, but I really liked this emotional cover by Raye. -- Drew

I heard this song for the first time today. I really liked it. I had tears in my eyes before the end of it. --Shelly

Colin Raye is my favorite country artist his songs always have meaning behind them. -- Kendra

I know the young man the song was written about. He is actually the main character in the video too. Despite his challenges, he keeps plugging away with such a genuinely positive approach, that he is constantly sought out to mentor others in his same situation. Jonathan

I loved this song and video! I dont even like country music much! Unfortunately, I too was paralyzed recently and it is overwhelmingly depressing. On a day where I was discouraged, this video/song lifted my spirits! Andrea

Lyrics

VERSE I: Nobody thinks about that stuff.

Like, how tall he might have been, or how fast he couldve run.

They just stare as he rolls by.

All they see is a helpless kid, with no chance to live a life.

If they only knew . . .

CHORUS: Hes got dreams of breaking ribbons in a hundred yard dash,

Climbing up a snow-capped mountain & planting his flag.

He believes one day hell stand up & walk away from that chair.

Hes got faith, hes got hope, and all his Mamas prayers.

Hes not jaded or bitter,

Hes gonna leave the giving up

For the QUITTERS.

VERSE II: The doctors say no way hell walk,

Hes just smiles and says , Im gonna prove you wrong.

Lots of falls and failed attempts,

His legs keep giving out but his heart aint giving in.

What they dont know is . . .

CHORUS: Hes got dreams of breaking ribbons in a hundred yard dash,

Pushing Earnhardt down the backstretch in a Daytona draft.

He believes one day hell stand up & walk away from that chair.

Hes got faith, hes got hope, and all his Mamas prayers.

Hes not jaded or bitter,

Hes gonna leave the giving up

For the QUITTERS.

BRIDGE: He pulls himself up on the bars and takes a long, deep breath,

Lifts his right foot off the mat and with all that he has left

He takes a step, one step

CHORUS: Toward his dreams of breaking ribbons in a hundred yard dash,

Going long for a touchdown with his buddies out back

He believes one day hell stand up & walk away from that chair.

Hes got faith, hes got hope, and all his Mamas prayers.

Hes not jaded or bitter,

Hes gonna leave the giving up

For the QUITTER

"You've got to follow your passion. You've got to figure out what it is you love--who you really are. And have the courage to do that. I believe that the only courage anybody ever needs is the courage to follow your own dream."

I like George Canyon's version just a tiny bit more (probably because I've listened to his version a lot more and he helped to write it), but Collin does a really great job with this song too.

Love Collin Raye! The first day I was onset (I'm the guy in the Wheelchair) He came right to me embraced me with a hug and was so genuine and sincere. As we were talking he told me that he doesn't sing songs or write songs to sell alcohol he sings songs that will change people for the better. His lyrics inspire and make us mortals want to be better men and women. He's a God-fearing man in every sense of the word and am lucky to consider him a Friend.

I listen to this song whenever I'm feeling frustrated because it reminds me that anything is possible if you are willing to work for it. One of the best songs out there if you ask me.

This songs sends a powerful message. I am in the United States Army and one of the reason i do what i do is for the people that don't have a chance at a life but keep fighting everyday to prove their doctors wrong. Those kind of people i would want to be on my team any day. People think that they have a hard life i should show them this video. Some people need a reality check. My life isn't prefect either my brother has a learning disability and panic disorders but i love him. Keep fighting! NQ!

I am a in home care provider for a Quadraplegic girl. I have been with her for 7 years now and each day she is my inspiration and best friend. I am fortunate to see her drive, spirit, and determination on a daily basis. She has a 4.0 GPA in college and does not know how to give anything less than all she has. I am truely blessed to know this young lady.

I am a quadraplegic and I firmly believe that what makes us who we are has nothing to do with what we can do physicaly. Rather it is our minds, our will power, and our spirit. Money, possetions, beauty, fame can be taken away but not this. Before my accident I broke ribbons and I still dream of the race but now I push forward using my voice and my story to reach others. "Quit" is a 4 letter word that is'nt in my vocabulary. Obsticals that we each face are meerly life's way of building character.

Wow!! My daughter was paralyzed in a car accident almost 10 years ago, she is now a C5 quadraplegic. She was a runner, she ran cross country and track and field and showed great promise. Since she can't run any more she's in college now getting her degree so she can coach. She is my pride and joy and I have no doubt that she will be great at whatever she does. Thanks for posting the video it's awesome.

My daughter is only 3 and has CP. she doesn't talk and can only walk with the help of a walker, but she keeps going every single day. She has already proven Doctors wrong (Who said she'll Probably NEVER walk at all) and she does it with a smile and a giggle. She is truely My hero and I know that One day, She'll Move Mountains, Cause she's Just that determined, I am one proud mommy. She's young and determined... She's no quitter.
