Very beautiful song and a double A side to the single "We Means We Starts" which was another of Colin's sublime choons that caressed your lugholes and made you weep buckets of tears of joy. This was 1982, one of the best years of my life. I wonder if my lost love (June) of that year still remembers me constantly playing this song to her in my bedroom until she submitted to attending his London concert with me. Alas she backtracked on the day of the gig and dumped me!

I love this song. Had no idea there was a video for it though, or that Colin had ever sported such a magnificent beard!

What a quirky video. Colin in full-on monk, I see... Reminds me, of all things, of Steve Carrell's character in Little Miss Sunshine, both in appearance and feeling. Sad, yet amusing.

In peopled spaces, we shrink our lives as we make our dreams Pretending action, reporting lives that are out of reach Although it's been a long time, I've never been here I have no wish to return and I'm not standing still Da-da-da-da da-da-da-da Under water over ground Da-da-da-da da-da-da-da No width no breadth

A tiny facet, a twisted image of what might be me A risk I've taken, a line that's drawn between the A and B Although it seems a long time since we've all been here We can't return, we can't stand still Da-da-da-da da-da-da-da There is no link Da-da-da-da da-da-da-da Not thought not breath

I'm more a fan of Lewis and Gilbert's solo work, but Newman has had a few good pieces.
