+Payit4ward Jeff Bridges is one talented man! There's no doubt he could be as popular & his music would climb the charts if he worked in music vs acting (tho' he's great at both) just like the greats of country music like Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, etc... He plays guitar well but I especially love it when he plays the piano. Like Richard Gere, he's an amazing pianist. What blew me away in this film was hearing Colin Farell sing! He's got major chops as well! These 2 men truly compliment each other. The songs they played together in Crazy Heart proved it beyond a shadow...I agree with you completely with regards to how these 2 talented actors have amazing musical talents that haven't been tapped into very often in the past; they are most definitely better than many 'popular' signed country artists of today. Btw, if you want to hear a great series of music where Jeff Bridges plays the piano AND he's accompanied by his brother Beau along with AN AMAZINGLY TALENTED - Michelle Pfeiffer in the movie The Fabulous Baker Boys. My favorite songs they play in the film The Fabulous Baker Boys is when it's just Jeff & Michelle when she's singing My Funny Valentine & Making Whoopie. Michelle had more than a fair amount of singing in the updated Grease 2, starring Michelle Pfeiffer & Max Caulfield, along with others whose names I can't recall at this moment... (I have Lupus (SLE), which causes brain fog & I'm in a flare now but it's manageable for the most part except for the brain fog & the excessive swelling in my ankles & feet. I'm spending 2 wks w/her & her family. She lives in the mtns whereas I live less than 100-mi from the ocean; it didn't even cross my mind that the elevation is the most likely culprit w/the excessive swelling until she mentioned it. We're best friends who are as close as sisters & once a year I come to stay with her for about a week or so and then she comes to stay with us for a week or so. I only wish we lived closer together b/c I have 4 autoimmune diseases w/plenty of symptomatic problems that meds don't always control, plus the ride is tough on the body as well. What's worse is that she was dx'd a few years or so ago with 3 autoimmune diseases. It breaks my heart but we both know her battle with autoimmune diseases is getting worse and worse as she moves from the milder to more moderate stages of the diseases. So, we are trying to spend as much time together as possible for as long as possible b/c it won't be many years b4 it will be difficult to impossible to make the trip back & forth - even meeting halfway to cut the time on the road.FYI: Michelle sings Cool Rider & another song toward the end of Grease 2, w/the last song being more of a slow but powerful love song & she is absolutely great - although, I have to say that the songs she sings in The Fabulous Baker Boys are much better! It's like they kicked her musical talent up several degrees in the Baker Boys, tho' it doesn't detract from how well she sings in Grease 2)

This is the common misconception people have with actors. Every actor you see out there can sing, dance and definitely act.

what you hear in todays music isn't country its bs crap labeled as country in nashville. Real country died a long time ago with johnny and the boys. There are still some really good real country groups but they aint mainstream you have to search deep and look a little bit.
