the good songs of coldplay are very good indeed but, then the bad ones are really really terrible. And most of their albums have a very repetitive feel to the songs. Maybe Chris Martin can let other band members express themselves more into the songs... almost minimal thought goes into music....get some pretentiously meaningful lyrics down which eventually don't go anywhere in most songs ... and then bash away with same old tricks...falsettos....some key strokes and 3-4 chords... 37 songs on their greatest hits pack and you cant play that album in continuity....cuz there are only 7-8 listenable tracks... but then if the likes of oasis, stereophonics, katy parry, sell so many albums,..atleast coldplay are 1000 times better than those.. marketing will sell most anything these days...10 years ago

I disagree; They wanted to do two albums with MX (one more their old style, and one a different style) but because of restrictions, they had to combine them. Expect good stuff from Coldplay in the future.11 years ago
