I can see your point, although id say that even if he's not at 100% of himself in the old days, I'd say he's still far ahead enough of the vast majority of singers to not warrant any form of retirement from singing

That is a fair question in which I would say the answer for me at least is in 2 parts. Yes, agreed his voice has changed, which is expected. He still sounds fantastic in an acoustic setting, but when he's up there with the full band going flat out, well to me it sounds pretty ordinary. Of course we're not talking "Meatloaf" ordinary lol Paul Stanley from Kiss is another recent example. It's unfortunate that they don't get the "You need to stop now" tap on the shoulder.

Do you think his voice is "shot"? or has his voice changed as it would for every other bloke after 30+ years??

Maybe Maroon 5 can release a version similar to Moves Like Jagger. You know what I'm thinking variety of people Grannies, kids, dogs, Asians, bikies and babies clapping . Glad you appreciated my dry humour.... I haven't seen Barnesy live for years but when Chisel first reformed 10 odd years ago he was as good as ever. I was disappointed he didn't clap, maybe he had lost the awesomeness. I was not knocking his voice as the clapping was superb, could anything even get close to matching it...

Barnesy was the best clapper in the industry. Best I've ever seen and ever will. Pity his voice doesn't live up to his clapmanship

I think Jimmy Barnes could have got into it a bit more.

Great audience reaction. Better than Australian audiences, actually.
