Jesus, what did they do to Travis' vocals....I know he's not the greatest singer ever but the amount of distortion and shit on his voice is just nuts. Way overproduced, Coheed doesn't need all that extra shit.

I actually prefer this version. Given that I'm not a huge Maiden fan. I like Travis' voice, though not much on this track.

christ their is a lot of hate on this... this is a tribute to the great Maiden guys! Respects given by Coheed! it's freakin awesome! they're not trying to better it.. it's how they play this song, give em a break, jesus - it's fucking awesome

I have to agree that this recording sucks balls. The live cover is way badass. Coheed is one of the most diverse bands in the world. They have ranged from the static sounding indie rock to some pretty hard metal. Their sound evolves with their concept and obviously the longer they've been playing. Why are you ragging on an original band saying they're not just because they like to do covers also? None of these covers have EVER made it on any of THEIR ALBUMS. Maiden Heaven isn't their album.

Ok, i'm like the world's biggest Coheed fan, and even i think this version isn't very goos. Well over produced. And Travis's vocals sound completely electronic. I like what they do with the song though. The live version they do is really good. Then again, can anyone really do a really good cover of maiden?

Good vocals, my only thing is, the guitar solo's. Adrian used a Gibson Explorer and Dave a Fender Strat. Makes a big difference in sound, the solos sound thin on this.
