Was it in the cold of that night you screwed?

In the heart of the enduring

Cause when you opened that door, you knew

Well now thered be no returning

Or room to mourn what we have lost

To wait while the willing, as you're the Hound of Blood & Rank

And boy, you've got another thing coming

Come on, come on, come on, you've got to give it me

As though you want it to, come on and set me free

I'll dig it 'til we've made your grave, oh, you've been a bad, bad boy

I'll cut it 'til I carve it out, and stick it in a sad, sad song

Why the bother, you're no brother, youre the wrong I need

Boy, we all found an audience, while you found the worst of me

You got another thing

Put 'em up against the wall, now they're of no use to you

God, it's time for the curing, only you're in for that big refuse

Surprise, boy! This tides come a turning, no room to mourn what you have lost

Oh, no waiting while the willing, poor little Hound of Blood & Rank

Who deserves every ounce of what's coming

Come on, come on, come on, you've got to give it me

As though you want it to, come on and set me free

I'll dig it 'til we've made your grave, oh, you've been a bad, bad boy

I'll cut it 'til I carve it out, and stick it in a sad, sad song

Why the bother, you're no brother, youre the wrong I need

Boy, we all found an audience, while you found the worst of me

You got another thing

Come on, come on, come on, you've got to give it me

As though you want it to, come on and set me free

I'll dig it 'til we've made your grave, oh, you've been a bad, bad boy

I'll cut it 'til I carve it out, and stick it in a sad, sad song

Why the bother, you're no brother, youre the wrong I need

Boy, we all found an audience, while you found the worst of me

You got another thing

We caught you on the wrong side of lying

Within the dust we left you dying, if only words can keep you hiding

Well go on, cowards we've offed you, cowards we've offed you

I hope your life's a living hell, it's all on you, boy (x7)

The intro is the same (or at least very similar) to another song I have heard.. I cant recall which one and it is driving me crazy.

all of their songs are great, not a single bad song on any of their albums. even the two most recent ones, which makes it harder to pick a favorite song >.<

Well i'd suggest listening to "Pear Of the Stars" that is a amazing coheed song from year of the black rainbow. ikss3 was an amazing album. With songs like "The light & the glass" and "the crowning" not a dull moment on that album. But i'd suggest you start with the Good Apollo i'm a burning star from fear through the eyes of madness comic. You will get your monies worth because it is longer.

I'll probably check out Year of The Black Rainbow again and see if something grows on me again. It took me a few listens to fall in love with In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3 (the song, I mean). By the way, would you suggest I get SSTB's comic first before buying the one for IKSoSE3? I'm working on getting one of them soon.

The Afterman is before all this stuff. My favorite story line is Good Apollos's. Because it is from The Writer's(god in the comic is called "the writing writer"). It is so dark and emotional just amazing. Second favorite comic is the in keeping secrets ones. Year Of The Black Rainbow had some sweet songs. I suggest you listen to "Pearl Of The Stars", "far", "Made out of nothing", "The Broken" etc... The individual songs were good. It just didn't flow together like a normal coheed album.

I listened to every album all the way through :D (youtube rocks, hosting full albums in videos). I'm trying to save up some money for the comics, but I definitely love Good Apollo. In order of preference for me, it's Afterman>Good Apollo>No World For Tomorrow>IKSoSE3>a tie between YoTBR and SSTB (maybe YoTBR leading because at least one song on that is on my iPod). I mostly love Afterman because it would be one hell of a movie, and it is a bit more conceptually brilliant with the Keywork.

Well I have all the comics. The good apollo comics, the in keeping secrets comics, the second stage comics etc... Good Apollo i'm a burning star is their best album lyrically, story telling, instrumentally, and vocally. I suggest you listen to that album all the way through then read the comics. Now world for tomorrow as an album was kinda blandish. Which is understandable because they were going through a lot of band issues during the no world for tomorrow and yotbr recordings.

I know what you mean. It's just not in my personal taste, though. I like the story too, although to be honest, I only know so much about it. I know the characters at most, and some of the setting. I can't afford the books/comics :x. The only story I understand the most is the Afterman one. Maybe that's why it's hard for me to like SSTB so much. It's kind of the same deal with Year of the Black Rainbow for me (minus Here We Are Juggernaut). Every other album though I have on my iPod :3.

Second Stage Turbine wasn't supposed to have a groove. That album is powerful. With songs like Devil In Jersey City and Time Consumer. Now World For Tomorrow was good but kinda bland by Coheed standards. My favorite Coheed albums are Second Stage Turbine, In Keeping Secrets With Silent Earth 3, and Good Apollo i'm a burning star. The albums after that were good but not as amazing. But then they made The Afterman albums which are mind blowing.

After re-listening to them, Delirium Trigger was okay to me, but it's not a song I would replay on my iPod. Same deal with Neverender, although it was better. They don't stick out too strongly to me as the other Coheed and Cambria songs, because the vocals in a song like The Hound, well it's a bit more groovy and different throughout the song. It's like a song you can kind of dance to, if that makes sense. I mean I'd imagine if I heard the songs live present day, I may like them over the album.

Second State Turbine is my favorite. Did you not hear "neverender" or "delurium trigger"?

(personally, I never got into the SSTB album :x. None of the songs really stuck out to me, except for the piano bits).
