My favorite filmmaker is David Lynch. For most people, they'd rather have lemon juice poured in their eyes than watch one of his abstract meditations on the mysterious nature of identity and all its symbolism and motifs. But for me, he pushes the envelope and expands the horizons of cinema, creating dream-logic masterworks. In this clip, he uses The Cocteau Twins in his haunting tale of riders on the LOST HIGHWAY, trapped in their desperate worlds of desire, destiny, and unknown destinations, where truth is always just a little bit further down the road, somewhere in the murderous shadows.

One of the best f*** scenes in a movie of all time. Also, my favorite movie of all time.

Released under the This Mortal Coil banner, but it is "Cocteau Twins". I've no explanation for the identity-shifting in the film, other than the standard one of guy on Death Row mentally reviewing his past, but shuffling the running order and projecting his destructive actions onto a corporeal alter ego. As for that "review" above - well I guess in this scene "riders" is the operative word...

Elizabeth Fraser gives it the punch.

Although Elizabeth Frasier sings the vocal for both, this is This Mortal Coil, not Cocteau Twins.

THIS MORTAL COIL era una no venda, sino una colaboración de los músicos firmados a la etiqueta 4AD.
